Misty Town is a now-abandoned town that sits on the side of the Belt Mountains on the South Side. While no one lives there any longer, and is considered abandoned, it's still a good area to squat for the members of the Puchi Gang.
During the times of its heyday, Misty Town was a bustling town, mainly a home for many miners and workers working away in the mines to earn a living. It was proven an extremely important part of the mining industry until the mine that it was attached to - Misty Mine - was deemed too dangerous to work in after numerous workers died. The people living there never found the reason for the deaths, and people slowly moved away from the town, until there was ultimately no one left, as well as nothing left.
There is nothing to do in Misty Town, as, obviously, no one lives there anymore, and otherwise nothing notable about the town that would compel outsiders to visit. However, back when it was populated, it served to have good businesses and residential areas for the miners and their families. This is evident by the close-knit groups of houses as well as an empty bank, post office, saloon, and other businesses.

Misty Mine is an abandoned mine on the South Side, entering into the side of the Belt Mountains. It's attached to the mining town of Misty Town, hence the name.
The mine serves as an entrance to the cave systems on the southern side of the mountains, and was once a place where people extracted gold and silver when the South Side was first settled.
However, due to circumstances within the mine as well as poor ventilation for gasses, large amounts of people passed away within the mine. The more people went to investigate, those, too, suffered. There are some people who mined in the Misty Mine and were smart enough - despite not knowing what was killing people - to not go too deep inside the mine, where so many people were suffering. Many accidents could've been avoided if better safety precautions were taken and implemented.
